The first book launch of

, written by eminent journalist and social commentator, Praful Bidwai, was held at the India International Centre on 25 November 2011.

Renowned activist and member, National Advisory Council, Government of India, Aruna Roy was the first speaker on the dais to talk about the book.
Girish Sant, an energy and environmental analyst from Prayas in Pune spoke next about climate change and discussed changes that need to be made at the level of day-to-day living of the middle classes in particular in order to avert a disaster.
Nirupam Sen, former Ambassador of India to the United Nations, spoke about real alternatives that policy-making bodies need to think about and the political will that is needed to provide sustainable life on Earth.
Rohan D'Souza, Assistant Professor at the Centre for Studies in Science Policy, JNU, discussed Mr Bidwai's book and talked about the kind of policy changes that are required.
The author sums up the discussion and provides his own analysis of the climate change debate.
