The editor:
Sanjukta Dasgupta is a critic, editor, poet, short-story writer and translator. Formerly, the Head of the Department of English and Dean of Faculty at the Calcutta University, she has received numerous international fellowships, including a Fulbright postdoctoral fellowship. She has served as the Chairperson of the Commonwealth Writers Prize jury and the Convenor of the English Language Board at Sahitya Akademi. Currently, she is a member of the Jnanpith Award Advisory Committee and a ScoTs Edinburgh Research Affiliate. Her career is distinguished by several major literary and lifetime achievement awards.
