A writer, critic and social justice activist, Radha D’Souza is currently on the Faculty of Law, University of Waikato, New Zealand. She was a practising lawyer in the Mumbai High Court before turning to social and academic work. The focus of her work spans critical issues in law, politics, development, labour, democratic rights, culture and social justice in India, Her published work has also engaged themes of social justice and parity in international organisations and relations. D’Souza’s papers on socio-legal studies and the Tungabhadra water disputes have recently appeared in Social & Legal Studies, Natural Resources Journal and a collection entitled Geopolitical Orientation, Regionalism and Security in the Indian Ocean. Her forthcoming work includes chapters in books on globalisation and resources management studies, both featuring a broad spectrum of international scholars and activist scholarship. She is participating currently on a research project on “The Experiences of Protection Orders for Women in Aoteasro / NZ” funded by the Ministry of Women’s Affiars, Government of New Zealand.
