Shalini Pillay has an MA in Sociology, a Masters’ in Education and a BA in Economics and Sociology from Bombay University. She has over 30 years of experience teaching students from classes 8 to 12. She was the principal of Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao Higher Secondary School, Chennai. She was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ grade in English Proficiency by the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages. She is now working closely with children with learning disabilities. Girija Narayanan is an educationist who has, for more than three and a half decades, dedicated herself to developing the minds, intellect, knowledge and values of school children. She has a B.A honours degree in political science with a first class degree in Bachelor of Education, and is a university gold medallist. As a member of the Geography Teacher’s Association of India, she introduced innovative methodologies in teaching Social Sciences. She has also been regularly entrusted with the setting of board exam papers for Standard X by CBSE. Shanthi Chandrasekhar, BA, B Ed, PG (Geography), has over 30 years of teaching experience. She was the head of the department of social sciences at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School, Chennai.
