English Poetry 1660–1780 is part of the series called Critical Editions, co-published with The English and Foreign Languages University (EFL-U, Hyderabad). This is a collection of poetry of the ‘Age of Enlightenment’ or the long eighteenth century, with representative work from poets as well known as Alexander Pope and John Dryden and lesser known ones such as Aphra Behn, Thomas Parnell, Robert Blair, Edward Young, Mary Collier and Anna Laetitia Barbauld, or Ann Yearsley and Hannah More, Charlotte Smith, Stephen Duck and Mary Collier. The volume carries a detailed introduction to the socio-historical background of the age and its literature.

Pramod K Nayar is a faculty member at the Department of English, University of Hyderabad. He has published very widely on literatures in English, colonial and postcolonial literature, history of literature, cultural theory, cybercultures and discourse analysis.
