Orient BlackSwan, in collaboration with the Rajya Sabha, organised the launch of The Legislature and the Judiciary: Judicial Pronouncements on Parliament and State Legislatures in Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi, on 16 March 2011.

Joining the speakers on the dais was Professor Upendra Baxi (on the extreme left). He has also written a Foreword for the book.

A pioneering volume, The Legislature and the Judiciary explains the powers, privileges and immunities of legislatures in India, also highlighting the role of the judiciary in articulating a constitutional position on the legislature's autonomy. A large audience gathered for its launch.

The English and Hindi versions of the book were released on this occasion by Honorable Vice President of India, Dr M. Hamid Ansari.
