Heidi (1981) is the story of a five year old girl who goes to live with her grandfather, high up in the Swiss Alps and changes the lives of the people she meets. Beginning with her grandfather whom everyone calls Alm-Uncle, a grouchy old man who has turned away from people, to Peter's blind grandmother, and rich, kind Clara, bound to her wheelchair, Heidi's innocence and good nature touches and brightness their lives.
